1. Who we are
PetKcal ("we", "us", "our") operates the website petkcal.com. We provide a free pet nutrition calculator and informational content. Our contact email is petkcal@protonmail.com.
2. Data we collect
Calculator data: All data you enter into our calculator (pet weight, species, food type, etc.) is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. None of this data is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere outside your device.
Server logs: Our web hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs basic server-level information including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are used solely for security and infrastructure purposes and are retained according to Netlify's own privacy policy (netlify.com/privacy). We do not access or use these logs for marketing or analytics.
Email: If you contact us at petkcal@protonmail.com, we receive and store your email address and message content for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your email with anyone.
3. Cookies
We do not use cookies of any kind. We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party scripts that set cookies. There is nothing to accept or reject.
4. Third-party services
PetKcal uses Google Fonts to load our typography. When your browser loads PetKcal, it makes a request to Google's servers to fetch font files. Google may log this request in accordance with their own privacy policy. If this concerns you, your browser's privacy settings can block external font loading — the site will fall back to system fonts and remain fully functional.
We use no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service.
5. Your rights
Since we collect no personal data beyond server logs (handled by Netlify) and voluntary email contact, there is very little to action. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, contact us at petkcal@protonmail.com and we will comply within 30 days.
6. Children
PetKcal does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The calculator is intended for use by pet owners of any age but collects no personal information from any user.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date. Given the minimal nature of our data collection, major changes are unlikely.
